Defines the output format and the file extension of the converted audio or video file.

Codec
|
Video files contain both an audio and video channel. A codec can be individually defined for each. Let's say you want an MP4 file for a specific playback device. The output file can only be played back on this device when the correct codecs have been used to create it. For the MP4 file you could configure the MPEG-4 code for the video channel and the AAC codec for the audio channel, for example.

Bit rate
|
The quality and size of the output file can be configured by setting the bit rate to be used for the selected audio and video formats. Audio bit rate: 24-320 kbit/s. Video bit rate: 64-29,040 kbit/s. The original bit rate can also be preserved.

| Frame size | The frame size allows the resolution of the output file to be re-sized to fit the end device. The configurable spectrum ranges from a resolution of 128x96 pixels through over 16 different levels up to 720x576 pixels. The preservation of the original size and creation of custom sizes is also possible. |
| Frame rate | The frame rate represents the number of individual images (frames) per second. 25 FPS (Frames Per Second) is the standard setting. Settings ranging from 6–60 FPS can be individually configured. |
